Maria Elena is a Payroll Service Coordinator in BFG’s Payroll & Compensation Services division. As such, Maria Elena processes payroll and handles requests for assigned clients. She also serves on BFG’s Sunshine committee, which manages the firm’s internal celebrations.

Prior to her role at BFG, Maria Elena served as a Bookkeeper/Office Administrator at a law firm in Edinburg, Texas. Previously, she was a Payroll Specialist in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Maria Elena holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley and a Certificate of Completion in Computerized Accounting and Data Entry from Texas State Technical College in Harlingen, Texas. She has been a bookkeeper for 30 years working in the various areas of the accounting fields and enjoys working with numbers. Maria Elena joined the BFG team in 2023.

In her free time, Maria Elena enjoys finding new recipes and baking from scratch, watching sports, spending quality time with family, and shopping – especially for purses and shoes. Maria Elena has two grown sons.
