    LYNN'S LEGACY

Lynn has been an active member of NAWBO-SA since 1998 when she co-founded the chapter. She initially served on the board as Program Chair and Corporate Partner Chair. Lynn went on to serve as the Chapter’s third president from 2000 to 2001. She has since served on the President’s Advisory Council. In recent years, Lynn was invited to serve on the Board in a variety of positions, including Public Policy Director.

With Lynn’s leadership in 1999, the chapter founded a teen mentoring and scholarship program, currently known as the High School Mentorship Program, which has awarded over $258,000 of scholarships in its 24-year history to young women hoping to start their own businesses. It is the largest scholarship program of its kind nationally within NAWBO.

Since the inception of the program, Lynn has served as a mentor to young women attending NSITE (formerly, San Antonio Business Careers High School). She has had the opportunity to mentor young women all the way through to graduation and beyond.

Today, she is involved in NAWBO-SA as an Executive Member Partner and member of the chapter’s Million Up program, a concept which she presented to the Past President Advisory Council. She believed that a “Million Dollar Roundtable” type of program would help attract larger business owners in the San Antonio Metro area who could meet, dialogue and socialize together.

In 2021, Lynn was invited to participate in the Board Development Committee for Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, which is tasked with the recruitment for the board of directors as well as the selection of the Board Chair annually.  Additionally, this committee assists in the development of strategic learning and training of the board of directors.

Lynn received the NAWBO-SA Chapter’s Entrepreneurial Spirit Award in 2001** and the San Antonio Business Journal’s 2007 Women’s Leadership Award for Mentoring Leadership***. She was named the 2014-2015 NAWBO-SA Member of the Year. Lynn is a Life and Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)****, achieving Court of the Table and Top of the Table status multiple times.

Of all her accomplishments, Lynn is most proud of her family. When she is not at the office, Lynn enjoys spending time with her husband, Bill, and their children and grandchildren at their ranch in Hondo.
