Heather Camacho is a senior service coordinator for BFG’s Employee Benefits Service department. Heather helps business owners and their employees interact with insurance companies by assisting with employee enrollments, bill reconciliation, and claims review. She develops and creates employee education materials and helps employers and their employees understand their health benefits. She also coordinates a variety of client meetings throughout the year during various stages of benefit selection, education, implementation, and review. In addition to assisting clients, Heather serves on BFG’s Sunshine Committee, which manages the firm’s internal celebrations.

Heather previously worked as an insurance agent with Colonial Life, multi-tasking as an account manager, benefits coordinator, and enroller to work with business owners, decision-makers, and their employees. Subsequently, she was an account executive for several years at a local insurance agency, partnering with several brokers to manage their book of business. Heather briefly left the insurance industry to work in banking, learning commercial lending and trust administration when her family was transferred out of state, only to return to insurance when she returned to Texas. She started working at BFG in 2018 and was promoted to senior service coordinator in February 2020.

Heather earned a BS in human relations in 1999 at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, where she played on the volleyball team and sang in the chorale. In 2006, Heather acquired her General Lines – Life and Health Insurance License; in 2012 she acquired her Property and Casualty qualification. 

She is a mother of two girls, enjoys playing volleyball, vacationing at the beach, long walks with her German shepherd, watching cooking and fixer-upper shows with her husband, and going to church at Healing Place Church in Boerne, Texas.
