Amanda Larson is a Consultant in BFG’s Employee Benefit Services department. Amanda helps business owners develop, implement, maintain, and service benefit programs for their employees. In addition, Amanda’s responsibilities include managing relationships with clients through ongoing communication and review meetings. She also serves on BFG’s Financial Consulting Committee, which evaluates products and services offered by the firm.
Amanda began working at BFG as an intern in 2007 while attending UTSA and pursuing a Finance degree. She was hired on as a full-time employee after graduating, and throughout the years, she has held every position in the Employee Benefits department. In December 2013, Amanda was promoted to Consultant, with responsibilities that include assuring excellent service for clients of the Employee Benefits team.
One of Amanda's responsibilities was to read and be able to articulate the Affordable Care Act (PPACA) when it was passed in 2010. Since that time, she has received the National Association of Health Underwriter's PPACA certification. She is knowledgeable on the PPACA's provisions and how they impact companies based on their demographics and stays up to date on changes to those provisions.
When she is not at the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family. Her other hobbies include reading, cooking, Texas Hold’em, and billiards.
